Hi All,,
I have two tables
1. Main Table
2. small Table
Let us Consider, I have a state field in two tables and description of the state in only Small Table.
Now To display the state and associated description, I have Joined these two tables and defined the object at universe level by concatenating these two fields, it works fine and Now I have got a typical requirement which is ,
In my main table for few selected state Id's the concatenation is done at DB level and the data available for this state id is a direct concatenated value, and I am doing the concatenation in universe level for all state Id's. So as A result the concatenation will happen twice, NOW i AM BIT CONFUSED OF HOW TO AVOID THIS SCENARIO.
Hi,
The condition types EDI1 and EDI2 are used when the vendor send the price change and is accepted automatically. Refer the note: 456127 - FAQ: Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) in purchasing Question number 14.

HI Naresh,
S&OP supports two methods to transport Model Configuration from Source to Target Systems. These are DU based transport and SQL based transport. SQL based transport is preferred method if you want to copy model between two systems.
Caution: The Transport mechanism is a beta feature. We cannot support any issues encountered using this feature. This is only intended for expert users only with access to SAP HANA Studio or XS Studio. Always backup your database before performing such action.
SQL based Export/Import
Export:
1. Open Chrome and Log onto the SAP S&OP web UI with a user who has "REPO EXPORT" system privilege
2. Make sure that the planning area you want to export is activated
3. Open a new tab in the same browser as you logged into and provide the following URL:
4. Provide the parameters values for oldPrefix , newPrefix, oldPlarea and newPlarea. For example, oldPrefix is usually the 3 letter prefix for attributes and Master Data Types. eg SM1 for SAP delivered SAPMODEL1. You can have the same value for new and old prefixes, and new and old planning areas and the same TPID to export and import the same model.
5.In your browser, you need to select "view page source" to view the result page as text, then copy and paste the SQL into a file.
The URL will return a file with SQL statements that will construct an inactive version of the model in target system.
Import:
1. Back up the database before you import the planning area. This prevents accidental deletion of configuration or data.
2. Use HDB Studio or the SAP Hana XS IDE Catalogue tool to run the SQL statements in the target system.
3. Run the SQL statements with SOPADMIN (or a similarly privileged user). This deletes the inactive entries in the target system if the same planning model, master data types, and attributes already exist.
If the SQL is long, split it to 500 sqls per SQL run.
4. Activate the model by activating Master Data Types , Time Profile and Planning Area.
Note for On Demand customers: Web access XS IDE is not enabled for customer production systems. Import is currently only allowed by SAP for production systems. File a support ticket if you need the model exported.
We are working on making this transport feature more robust.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks,
Raghav
Hi Midhun,
I am using a standard released BAPI i.e. BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_CLOSE.
Saurabh
Hi Anil,
while you are copying the wage type an entry would be created automatically in T52EZ. If it isn't, create a new entry in T52EZ.
That would remove the error.
Thanks
Madhav.
@Jurgen - Thanks, Please find below the detailed process and what i planned.
1. When the vendor bring the goods to, We will create a purchase order with consignment (Consignment Info Record = 1 USD - temporarily)
each line item entered considered as Pallet i.e if the same article has 2 pallets with 55 Cartons and 60 Cartons each,then the user will create two line items
2.The batch will be created for each line item through BAPI for each pallet (1 Line Item = 1 Batch = 1 Pallet ) the same will be printed as barcode label will be printed
3. In the receiving area the user will scan the pallet barcode will make goods receipts against purchase order,the stock will be moved to consignment (One Pallet = One GR ) since this will be done via RF Devices , the user will hand held device to receive each pallet
4. When auction is performed and sold a sales order will be created for each batch = Pallet and immediately through BAPI material document will be posted (411 K) ,here through user exit new selling price will be passed - HOPE THIS WILL WORK
5.This stock will be delivered to customer ,the catch here i can not post this in a via background job ,since the pallets has to be delivered immediately to the respective stalls.means as soon as auction performed the pallet will be moved to the respective stall(Customers Stall) existing in the Trade Center
Is the above is possible or we may need to do additional 2nd PO to receive the goods ,please advice
Hi Praveen,
as working with sap abap you must get enough exposure in basic modules like SD or MM, so why not you try with these options too, ok if you thinks about BI, BODS or HANA, remember HANA is a database related tool,
SAP BI : According to the standard definition of BI ,SAP BusinessObjects business intelligence (BI) solutions simplify data manipulation, allowing users to access, navigate, analyze, format, and share information across a corporate environment. The products allow a wide range of processes, from search and navigation to advanced analytics, enterprise query, reporting and analysis, dashboards and visualization, and information infrastructure management.
BODS : BODS is an ETL tool by SAP used for integration with all types of disparate systems, extracting data from them, transforming them into meaningful information and loading them into all types of systems.
SAP HANA : SAP HANA converges database and application platform capabilities in-memory to transform transactions, analytics, text analysis, predictive and spatial processing so businesses can operate in real-time
So, please search about these modules and see in which module you find yourself more explanatory in terms of understandings and manipulating, if you will judge yourself then i think it will be more fruitful to you in shaping your career and future.
Where is the tomcat cache that I can delete it?
Thanks.

Hi experts
Would you have any experience/best practice in designing for cycle count process for your clients?
By cycle count, I mean for frequent counting (daily) for specific item category / exceptional count request.
My client want to implement a cycle count process to minimize the effort for full stock take which happen around 3 times per year.
They are using SAP as the core system to keep track of inventory, and using external store system, so some considerations would be on, for example:
- whether the count variance or counted quantity shall be interfaced back to SAP
- whether SAP should be the source to initiate a stock count process or POS initiate
It would be very nice if you can share some best practice as in the process flow, system information flow, etc.
Best regards
Dominic
hi all,
I found the solution for above problem while going through Jose's Discussion on Creation of Addons for SAP Business One Studio( Creation of Addons for SAP Business One Studio )
it has been due to the argument parameter number pass to instantiate a instance of SAPbouiCOM.Framework.Application class...
it seem's the default index given when project creation is incorrect...
Many thanks to Jose Karlo Martinez and Edy Simon...
I have basic problems. I am not able to find right sample codes. I have two simple forms. When I click on the button of the form1, it creates new form2. But form2 is not able to find the grid on the form. Both forms are attached. I am using Visual Studio for SAP Business One.

Hi All,
I have to configure an scenario of sender JDBC to receiver RFC wherein SAP PI will be pulling data from third party database (Oracle).
Since I am configuring such scenario of sender JDBC, I want help on every important key aspects/prerequisites of configuring sender JDBC adapter/channel. I want to understand about Database Connection, Processing Parameters, etc. details while configuring sender JDBC channel and their significance/relevance.
Also I need guidelines about the source data structure (message type or external definition) to be used/created in ESR.
How sender JDBC channel and receiver JDBC channel differs from each other?
Please guide me on this.

Short text | ||
Overflow during the arithmetical operation (type P) in program "RSTUNE50". |
What happened? | ||
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "RSTUNE50" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed. |
What can you do? | ||
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
administrator. | ||
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time. |
Error analysis | ||
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_ARITHMETIC_OVERFLOW', was not
caught in | ||
procedure "WRITE_MAIN_LINE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause. | ||
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
An overflow was discovered in an ongoing arithmetical operation with
operands of type P. Possible causes are:
1. The result field of type P is too small for the result.
2. The result or a intermediate result has more than 31 decimal places. |
How to correct the error
The result field must be enlarged, if this is still possible. It may
also be possible to break up the current process into subprocesses so
that only smaller values occur.
There may already be a solution to the error in the SAP notes system.
If you have access to the SAP notes system first try searching with the
following keywords: | ||
"COMPUTE_BCD_OVERFLOW"
"BCD_FIELD_OVERFLOW" (Until release 4.0a, this runtime error occurred at this
position) | ||
"RSTUNE50" or "UNE50F01_ALV"
"WRITE_MAIN_LINE" | ||
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)". | ||
2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
(Unconverted)". | ||
3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"WRITE_MAIN_LINE" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following: |
