Please be mindful of the performance impact of having so many individual DAPs. DAP is checked for almost any BPC process, it could have profound affect on your performance if you have many users and each is having a separate DAP.

When this issue is started? Is this started recently upon changing any customization/enhancements in SAP EM.
1. Is this happening for one event type or for all event types against event handler type?
2. Application system uses event type together with tracking id to assign to event handlers. When the data send it from SAP EM, it refers same event handler for multiple tracking id's and posting his control parameters as well.
3. Go to Event Handlers -> Define Activities for Updating Event Handlers and check any custom function and update which you send data causing the issue.
Clean up: I don't think we have a custom tool to clean up control parameters and tracking ids. However you can go to each and every handler delete but it is tedious job to perform.

There is no option to stop message from interface determination steps, the alternative options are
1. you can have enhance receiver determination and stop the message from mapping used in enhanced receiver determination
2. have multiple receiver interface and route to different/error interface from multiple mapping in interface determination step

I am using SAP Lumira desktop 1.29 and handle big database. My data is in Mysql and has 8 billion docs in one table.
When I use Lumira to connect to MySql, then It will connect to MySQL, run the query e.g 'select a, b from table1' and import the datasets from MySql. But, here my table is 8 billion docs and it will cost very long-time (several hours) running to import the datasets.
How could I run direct query ( or establish live connection) to MySql database WITHOUT importing the datasets to Lumira?
From SAP lumira, it could also handle big data from Hadoop etc. I have not used hadoop yet, but if every time lumira needs to import whole datasets instead of establishing live connection, how could it handle very big data sets? such as Data in TB scales

Yes, I thought that might be the case. Playing around with the Task Manager was only a poor workaround for the actual problem. For some reason, PB's IDE & PBVM do not interact well with those two services when active. It's a problem that I can remember being reported even back into PB v11.5.
The problem with touch services also seems to affect the PB installation process as well. I also think that these problems are Intel CPU related as I can't replicate these problems on my AMD processors. Very weird!

Yes, I got a warning last week and an error the last time I ran yesterday. The warning basically says "Waiting for a communications service". The error says "Check the SAPconnect settings. The message can only be sent if there is an active node for which the address range contains the address .COM".

I am trying to pull up security notes from solman_workcenter (ST 710 SP13) by applying filter as shown in the picture. My filters for technical system, time period, component plug-in versions/ kernel patch level version everything remaining constant technically I should get same no. of security notes. Is that correct?
I have been getting different results almost every week (I check weekly). What might be wrong?? Does SAP changes what solution manager pulls based on feedback from customers or any other factor?
I make sure to hit refresh so it connects to SAP portal and get updated info each time.

I see what you mean now by the dimensional columns. You are correct, since my BEx query has all my characteristics in the Free Characteristics section of BEx, whereas in WEBI I have multiple different layouts using those characteristics.
I've re-ran my BEx query in RSRT bringing all the characteristics that I use in my most complicated page in my WEBI report, pretty much at the lowest granularity, and I can see that it takes time in BEx too. So much for my great BEx query.
I'll continue to look for ways to improve performance.

I'm hoping someone might know what's going on with a formula I'm using to only print details from records in which specified fields contain any of a list of specified values.
All the fields that I want to check for the specified values are Memo fields, and I assumed that because of this I would have to use the totext or another function to make the fields suitable for use in the formula, however I found that when I just included the field labels as they are, it seemed to work. However it seems that it doesn't always work for some reason!
I am attaching the report file with included data from a record that definitely contains one of the specified values and so therefore should list the record... but it doesn't! I've tried to work it out but I'm stuck. I added some capitalised and non-capitalised words, in case that was the problem but it didn't make a difference (btw can someone confirm if capitalisation matters when putting a string search in a formula?).
The formula in question in the file is called "IfIndigenous" and is meant to display a couple of fields from any records that include any of the specified text strings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Note that I have saved the rpt file as txt in order to post here, so you will have to rename it to .rpt before opening in Crystal.

For syntax wide, there is no issue here; but it is taking forever to execute.
The proc entitlement b returns few records; which just has 3 columns such as ( fiscal_year, month, gtran_id).

The fact table C has billion rows; it has all the correct HG indexes.
Is there an issue with this kind of join?

Version 23 of the 9th update causes ABAP RPCBENUS_ACA_PERSON to short dump for us as well. In ST22 it states:
Field symbol has not been assigned yet.
The current ABAP program "CL_HRBENUS_ACA_ENGINE=========CP" had to be

Hi ,
I am facing issues linked to doing init for SLT ODQ sceanrio which pulls data from ECC system and I am getting various errors linked to BSEG cluster tables-
1- In one case I got -Unexpected element MANDT for XML transformation, we have MANDT field mapped as CHAR 3 in TRFN on BW side.
we observed that on ODQ side this init was successful.
2- After that we removed MANDT field mapping from TRFN in BW then we got different error
max wait time of 7200 sec exceeded in BW Dtp and it failed with errors..
3- ODQ screenshot from SLT side shows that we had one init over earlier which we manually confirmed on SLT side thoguh init was not loaded on BW side and now we are trying to run again init.
So kindly advice step by step process to do re init for SLT ODQ case-
As i understand we need -1) delete subscription on ODQ in SLT side
2)delete data from dso
3) start dtp load on BW side
please help .

I know it's been a couple years. This came up for us just today. Take a look at $ORACLE_HOME/dbs for the init<SID>.ora file. SAP prefers that it contains just the one line pointing to the spfile
spfile = (+ASM_LOCATION/spfile<SID>.ora)
One of us did a "create pfile from spfile" and it did what we asked. It created a hundred parameters and put them into the init file in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs
Fixed by re-creating the one-lined edition pointing to the spfile.

The error tells us that the assemblies referenced in the project are version 14.x These are installed if you have access to BI Platform and SMP.
You may want to see if the app will work when you change the references to version 13.x. These can be installed from here:
SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio: Updates & Runtime Downloads
Use the install exe on your dev system. The app should work - if it is not using BI Platform / Enterprise.
Maybe if you copy the app code in here, I can tell you from there.

Action = 'D' is not for only deletions. When something in before and after structures ( old vs new ) doesn't match or due any unassignments, Action = 'D' will remove the unwanted parameters or tacking ids.
