Hi KA,
I am not sure if I understand the question.
For the creation of the SNP PPM you have to run in APO program: /SAPAPO/PPM_CONV_PPDS_TO_SNP.
You can create a background job to execute this program before the PPDS Heuristic or PPDS Optimizer or whatever you run is executed.

Is there a way to test connection in the window "configuration proxy repository"
Hi,
I'am new in testing PowerDesigner (PowerAmc in French version). And right now, I'am testing the diffrent type of connection.
The installation: PowerDesigner with SQLAnywhere to hold the repository DB.
I make a lot of research to find answer of my problem but not very lucky and I'am planning to reinstall the proxy and mention my own data source OBDC and see...
My problem:.
The installation of the proxy was done by someone else following the instruction that come with the sofware.
But testing for the first time the connection with the proxy I receive a error when I try to connect saying " impossible to establish a connection to the proxy, proxy instance was no able to connect to data base, 28000 SQLSTATE OBDC Driver, id or password is incorrect"
So it mean the the proxy is not able to connect to the data base of the repository with id and password of the dba user. If I use that id and password of the dba but in a direct connection, it work. By the way, the connection with the web portal work too.
So in the window "configuration proxy repository" the data source mention must have a error.
My Question:
But where I can find that data source mention (the one that was created by the installation guy) and test it like we do in the data source created (OBDC) in direct access (repository definition)? In the window, "configuration proxy repository" the mention in the user and password look ok to me.
Do you have other suggestions ?

Hello Artem.
My understanding is as following:
- If you need HCP (as a platform) then you better with technologies it is supporting out-of-the-box. Today those are Java and XS (JavaScript). More to come, but I cannot share any specific plans here...
- If you need only HANA as a platform then indeed you can host its instance in the public cloud (I am not sure if productive instances are available already in Azure via cal.sap.com...)

how is your header field designed? is it designed as a 'table' or 'text field' in the layout? See that it is designed as a 'Text Field'. and do the binding. if you feel that header is repeating wrap the text field in subform and set the property in binding i.e repeat sub form for each data item as Max 1.

Hi Markus,
This will not work because there is no Viewer.Refresh. What the Refresh button does on the viewer is it does a complete report object.refresh.
Using CopyTo or any other change is being applied to the ReportDocument and not being applied to the viewer, you have already sent the report to the viewer so only way to refresh the page is to reload the report which hits the database again.
But I like the idea of being able to do a refresh on a preview without triggering a DB refresh.

And I'll send them a separate e-mail and pass on the info to DEV and see what they have to say about being able to do this...
Can you specify why you need this? Obvious but need it in writing.

Thanks again, UMT needs to be run in the Source system or Target? Will the Security, Scheduler jobs and everything move, when we move a portion of it? What if the CR version is below 2008, does it need to be upgraded to 2008 first before moving to 2013?
If the upgrade is on same server, is UMT required? If not, just run a standalone installation?

Yes, CRS is a subset of the functionality on what is now called the BI Platform, which is part of the SAP BuinsessObjects (BOE) suite. It includes the CMC, etc. but it is single-server and only works with Crystal Reports - there is no Webi, Explorer, etc.
You can get the Java SDK in a couple of places - the CRS and BOE server installs or the BI Platform Client Tools install. Both of these are available if you have a license for the system. I think the server installs are available as trial software as well.

I think This is because in your zcomponent there is no model exists please check the model is attached or not into your zcomponent.
go to runtime repostory check whether model is there or not if not right click on the model add component name add your model there save. now create your know you will not get this kind of error..

on this case, I strongly suggest to stop the current stack XML file creation, go through note #1887979 and update your SolMan to at least SP22 + all notes mentioned on the note for this SP level and finally then start a new stack file process creation.

UMT is run on the Target system.
In general, you won't have to upgrade your reports unless they were created in Crystal 8.5 or earlier. From Crystal 9 onward, the underlying structure of the .rpt file is the same, with new options added for new functionality. For example, even though Crystal will throw a warning that the report was created in a "newer" version, I can use Crystal 2008 to open and edit a report that was created/updated in Crystal 2013 as long as I don't use any new features that aren't in 2008.

this does not look an upgrade/EHP issue. It seems that after the upgrade you're having problems in a layout of a SRM view, is that it?
If that is the case, please let me know, I'll move your thread to the SRM Space.
If this is indeed an upgrade/EHP issue, please inform in which phase are you facing the problem, the source and target versions and SUM version (from file summanifest.mf found on the root /SUM directory).
