Re: how to search authorization objects by field?

Lets assume your developer selects from a particular table and you want to delimit that, based on one field of that table. One possible approach could be:

 

1. start se11, display the table from which you want to select. (example: table FICOC_COND_AMT)

2. identify the field you want to be checked.(example FICOC_COND_AMT-O_CONDTYPE)

3.check the corresponding Data element for that field in se11 (example for O_CONDTYPE it's FICO_OCONDTYPE)

4.with that Data element select from table authx, enter the data element into selection field 'ROLLNAME'

5. with a bit of luck you will find 1 or more authorization fields defined by this data element.

6. the rest is easy.... display the field(s) in su20->on the bottom of the auth-field display-screen you have the authorization object(s) which contain that field

Fabio,

 

Can you please try

NameA.fieldSeparator     'nl'

NameA.fieldNames     DataString

NameA.endSeparator     '0x03'

 

This one will read each line into DataString element (I can see there is only one line in input file).

 

NameA.endSeparator 0x03 is End of File, if it does not work, try 'nl' OR '0x0A' (Line Feed).

Finally I managed to login to my SCN account again (stupid password). Thank you all for the contribution.

 

Folks, I've solved it with the approach presented by Harish. I just wanted ONE way in which I can do a 1:n mapping between an EDIFACT and iDoc messages and the first one that works is good enough for me, especially because I dont see much difference in performance between the two.

 

I understand you don't believe me when I tell you that my mapping was just a good ole message mapping created in PI, no JAVA external program. This is really this case. The case is also that the comm. channel throws the error for that <ns0:Messages xmlns=.... (that small "x" from xmlns is to blame and it is introduced from the mapping signature with which I have nothing to do. Because it's taking ages to update PO and implement the note mentioned above by me, I will go with door number one and just do that for all other interfaces in this system. I know it "should" work with the <Messages> too, but it doesn't and investigating why and testing stuff without a helpful Basis and without sufficient NWA authorizations to check logs and such is too much of a hassle and I have other things to do on the project.

It must be because of a bad SPS of the system and might have been solved with a new patch.

 

Notwithstanding that, now people confronted with the same issue now have an alternative linked in this topic that can be quickly implemented which it also worked for me.

Hi

 

the device type is

Manufacturer:Motorola
Model:MC95

we only have this devices. So i wanted to make sure i haven't done anything wrong in the event for setting registry keys.

 

 

Uninstall Application using XML works fine but only once. As soon as i have uninstalled and installed my App i can't repeat this steps. First i had only one device for testing but my second one shows same behavior.

The difference to the install is that uninstall is deployed via policy, so i thought it might be the same like for iOS or Windwos Phone that Policy is only applied or deployed once as long as there are no changes.

Hi Nikolaus,

 

You can achieve this with duplicate subtree,  from your example you can do duplicate subtree on Task node and then first task node apply the condition for statuses which you need to map all the fields and create the node, under this you can map all the fields.

 

The second Task node you can apply the condition for the statuses which you need to map some of the fields and create the node, under this node only map some of the fields which you want to map.

Hi,

    

     To determine which of the FRS is active, log on to Central Management Console and go to the servers option.

      Select FRS server’s one by one and check the start time of server in properties>Metrics.

     The server started first is active server.

 

     Hope this will help you.

Bruce: Before my latest attempt with 'full' I used the 'migrate' option - with the same failed result

 

Chris thanks for the 'free advise'.  We already have a similar PBL preservation mechanism in place for official builds. 

 

I'm experimenting with bootstrapping for QA and nightly source builds

 

I'll also experiment with 'outofdate' to refresh an existing recent PBL set.

 

I took the bootstrap approach because, as I mentioned above, I recently regenerated all the PBGs and was anxious to demonstrate their integrity via a full build  (previous full build attempts failed building because of missing objects caused by defective PBGs)

Hello Shashi,

 

Check if you can reach the full service URL via a browser or app, i.e. Chrome or Advanced REST Client.

 

If so, perhaps the "/p1..." path isn't permitted for the hanaxs system.

Try this two step process:

 

- Step 1: Regenerating the service:

 

  1. svcutil -uninstall
  2. svcutil -generate
  3. svcutil -install

 

- Step 2: Restart Services:

 

   1.   Shut down all SAP Mobile Platform processes.

 

   2. If services were set to automatic, set the start-up for the SAP Mobile Platform services to manual.

   3. Restart the system.

   4. set the start-up for the services back to automatic if Server is up.
