Did you check in your existing 12.5 license? You'll have to do that before you can generate a new license.

Transport Best Practices - Cumulative Transports
Hi All,
I am looking for a some sort of authoritative guide from SAP on ECC Transport Best Practices, especially around merging/combining/accumulating multiple transports into fewer ones. We are a very large project, but we haven't figured out the CVSs like ChaRm 
so we still deal with individual transports.
The reason I am asking this is that we some development leads on our project that insist that ALL transports that leave Development system must be imported into Production. They claim this the SAP best practice. An SAP consulting review of our system also left a vague note that "We are orphaning transports". This could mean that 1. either we are not importing all the stuff that leaves Dev system 2. or we are not keeping track of our code changes across all environments. Proponents of "All transports must get to PRD" are interpreting this as "1".
I have my team cumulate transport for subsequent changes into newer transport and only take the newest Transport to Production. The continuous rolling of old Transport into new one using SE01 "Include Objects" options ensures that all changes part of current development are in a single TR. Fewer transports mean fewer housekeeping across all systems, and less chances of something going out of sequence or missed out. This is for Workbench Transports only. I understand Config transports could get a little tricky with rolling in.
If you can't point me to a link, what is your take on "Send everything to Prod" vs. "Combine changes into fewer Transports"? I can't think of any software packaging methodology that suggests putting everything, including some junk/crap, into production build. I have looked at SAP enhancement packs, SPS, and Notes. I haven't found any evidence of SAP including older buggy code in what it releases to its customers.

I don't think you are the target of the points system. Some people will start trying to help others because of points, since games do increase good (and bad) engagement. The bet is that many will stay and improve over time, while others will just fade away.
And I think we tend to be a little nostalgic and think that before points all was good, no one spammed links or Google canned answers. Although this registry is from 2009 I came from the old SDN and as far as I can recall, it was all good in SDN. People sometimes said stupid things, gave bad advice, it comes with the territory.

Let's just point out that this an excelent way to start your field trip into Mount Doom if you do it in production. From my experience all it takes is one innocent SAP_EDIT and in no time the system becomes an inconsistent mess that nobody trusts.

The customizing for batch search strategy alone does not explain if you really do a batch determination.
you would need condition records, maintained in LS51.
You can check in LS53 if you have condition records. Enter the strategy type (WM01 in your case) then click strategy info. You are taken to a selection screen. Just execute and see if you get results for your warehouse number.
If yes, then I suggest to remove the condition record and test picking again.

Hi Leon,
No green tick means that the prompt has Not been used in the report.
If the report has Subreports, and if the subreport also has a 'warehouse' prompt then it could be this prompt that is causing the issue. You should link both the warehouse prompts to make sure you're only prompted once.

if you create a new requisition and enter an item text, then you do not yet have a requisition number, the text gets an interim dummy number until you save the requisition, then this dummy number is replaced with the requisition number
in the screenshot in the field text name you can see this dummy number.
IF for some reason you have a real record with such a number in tables STXH and STXL then you get these phantom texts when you create new requisitions.

As I can infer, you are talking about reading the 10th record form a database table.
The concept is quite simple , follow the steps :
- Read the data into an internal table, you can either use SELECT UPTO 10 ROWS.
- Once you get record in you internal table, you can read directly the tenth record using
read table statement, note that read table statement has a performance benifit than Select-endselect statement.
Try Out this :
Data : w_demo type zdemotable.
select * from zdemotable
up to 10 rows
into w_demo.
endselect.
Now you have 10th record in your workarea.
OR
Altenatively you can try out this for better performance :
Data : t_demo type table of zdemotable,
w_demo type zdemotable.
select * from zdemotable
into table t_demo.
if sy-subrc EQ 0.
read table t_demo into w_demo index 10.
********You will have the tenth record form the internal table into you work area******
endif.

Re: Standard table is not updated
As far as this problem is concerned work in this two possibilities :
- Does there exists a logic for fetching/calculating the shown value based upon table
/SAPAPO/MATLWH , try out debugging.
2. Is the table really correct that you are seeing, please cross check by pressing the F1
button on the screen field then go to technical settings, then you can see the tabe
name.
